PRC RESULTS: November 2017 Aeronautical Engineer Board Exam List of Passers

MANILA, Philippines – The November 2017 Aeronautical Engineer board exam results including the full list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing and overall performance summary of schools, among other related announcements are available at this website as PRC releases the full results online on November 20, 2017 or two (2) working days after the last day of board examination.

As announced, 235 out of 376 passed the exams.

The November 2017 Aeronautical Engineer licensure exams are administered by PRC Board of Aeronautical Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr. Ernesto B. Ferreras, Jr., and its member, Engr. Redentor C. Malia on November 14-16, 2017 at PRC testing center in Manila.

RELEASE DATE OF RESULTS

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2016-1019 series of 2016 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2017”, the target release date of November 2017 Aeronautical Engineer board exam result will be in two (2) working days after the last day of board examinations or by November 20, 2017 (Monday). However, results may also be released earlier or later without prior notice.

On the same exam conducted by PRC on November 2016 and November 2015, results were out after two (2) working days.


REGISTRATION DATE & REQUIREMENTS

These important registration schedule and requirements shall be secured by a successful examinee.

• The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be from November 28-29, 2017.
• Registration requirements: duly accomplished Oath Form, Notice of Admission (NOA), two (2) pieces of colored passport ID picture with white background and nametag and two (2) sets of doc stamps.

For Manila board passers, PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for processing of appointment for registration effective March 30, 2016, details of which are written here.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The November 2017 Aeronautical Engineering board exams covered the following topics:

First Day of Exam (November 14, 2017)

• Aerodynamics (Fundamentals of Low-High Speed, Aerodynamics Application of Aerodynamics to Fixed/ Rotary Wing Aircraft Configurations, Performance, Stability and Control; Wind Tunnels and Applications) 25%
• Mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Calculus and Differential equations with Aeronautical Engineering Applications) 10%

Second Day of Exam (November 15, 2017)

• Aircraft Structures and Design (Aircraft Design Fundamentals; Structural Loading Conditions; Structural Analysis and Design of Airframe Components; Landing Gears, Engine Mounts and Other Structural Parts; Non-Structural Component Design) 20%
• Aircraft Construction, Repair and Modification (Aircraft Materials and Processes; Methods and Techniques in Repair and Modification in accordance with Civil Air Worthiness Regulations; Manufacturing/ Production Processes and Quality Assurance) 15%

Third Day of Exam (November 16, 2017)

• Aircraft Power Plant (Thermodynamics and Power Plant Design and Operation Fundamentals with Applications to Internal Combustion Engine Reciprocating Engines Aircraft Gas Turbines, Pulsejet and Ramjet, Rocket Propulsion Systems and other Aircraft Power Systems) 20%
•  Engineering Economics Laws and Ethics (Principle of Economics and Management as Applied to Aviation Industry; Laws, Rules and Regulations governing the Practice of Aeronautical Engineering to include PD 1570, Rules and Regulations with Code of Professional Ethics of the Board of Aeronautical Engineering and others) 10%

PREVIOUS EXAMS

Aeronautical Engineering is one of the programs with less number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

On the most recent Aeronautical Engineer board exam conducted on November 2016, 170 out of 314 examinees passed. Guiseppe Andrew Bancaso Buffe and Vincy Tagimacruz Ceniza, both from Philippine State College of Aeronautics in Pasay got the first two (2) spots garnering respective ratings of 91.60% and 90.20%. Holy Angel University was the top performing school having all of its 25 examinees passed or 100.00% overall passing rate.

On November 2015, 165 out of 271 examinees passed the exams. Holy Angel University ranked first in the top performing school having 14 out of 14 examinees passed or an equivalent 100.00% overall passing rate. Justin Francis Conrad Villanueva Austria from Philippine State College of Aeronautics – Pasay topped the exams garnering 90.50% rating. He was followed by Jasper Keith Grezola Martillo from Patts College of Aeronautics having 90.25% and Kevin Victor Luansing Oarde from Philippine State College of Aeronautics – Pasay having 89.85%.
