‘Bagyong Karding’ Weather Update August 7, 2018 – PAGASA

MANILA, Philippines – The Low Pressure Area (LPA) at East of Aparri, Cagayan has developed into a tropical depression. “Bagyong Karding” is not expected to make landfall in any part of the country. This is the latest weather update issued by PAGASA on August 7, 2018.

In PAGASA weather bulletin issued at 11:00 AM, the center of Tropical Depression “Karding” was estimated based on all available data at 1,220 km East of Calayan, Cagayan.

It has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 65 kph and is almost stationary.

PAGASA warned that the southwest monsoon will affect the entire country. To quote,

The Tropical Depression and the LPA may enhance the Southwest Monsoon, which would bring scattered moderate to at times heavy rains over Northern Luzon and the western section of Central Luzon starting Friday (10 August)
