MANILA, Philippines – The August 2022 Guidance Counselor Licensure Exam GCLE results including the complete board list of passers, top 10 examinees and overall performance of schools are released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Guidance and Counseling in three (3) working days after the last day of exams.
The August 2022 Guidance Counselor board exam results are now available! PRC announces that 405 out of 661 (61.27%) examinees successfully passed the exams.
The Guidance Counselor board exam was conducted on August 17-18, 2022 at testing centers located at NCR, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu and Davao. The licensure exams were headed by the Board of Guidance Counseling Chairman, Dr. Luzviminda S. Guzman and its members, Dr. Elena V. Morada and Dr. Carmelita P. Pabiton.

Release of Results
The August 2022 Guidance Counselor Licensure Exam (GCLE) results are targeted to be released on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, according to PRC Resolution No. 1439 series of 2021 entitled “Schedule of the Licensure Exam for the Year 2022“. However, Guidance Counselor board exam results may also be out earlier or later than the target release date without prior notice.

Schedule of Registration
The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new Registered Guidance Counselors will be held on the following date(s):

Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:
- Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
- Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
- Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
- One (1) piece short brown envelope
PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Verification of Rating
The verification of ratings and test results for the Guidance Counselor licensure exams given by PRC Board of Guidance and Counseling will be available online few working days after the posting of results.
Successful takers can refer to PRC official website and use the Verification Page to know their board examination passing rate.
As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name and last name and the birth-date.
The oath taking ceremony for the newly Licensed Guidance Counselors can either be done online, now referred as the “e-oath”. The application system for the e-oath can be accessed online via PRC dedicated portal via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and select “e-OATH” as transaction.
Inductees are required to print “OATH OF PROFESSIONAL” form that is downloadable at the PRC Online Services.
Meanwhile, PRC has started to do scheduled face-to-face oath-taking for new licensed professionals. This section will be updated should PRC also conducts face-to-face oathtaking for new GCLE 2022 passers.

Guidance Counselor Board Exams Summary (Stats)
Guidance Counselor is one of the programs with small number of examinees being administered by PRC.
In the most recent GCLE held on August 2019, 286 out of 458 (62.45%) examinees passed. Leslie Doris Maribbay Divina from Saint Mary’s University ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 80.80% followed by Charissa Camille Miranda Lansangan from Holy Angel University having 89.55%.
During August 2018 GCLE, 307 out of 471 examinees passed. Ma. Agatha Anne Deang Dizon from University of the Assumption ranked first in the exams garnering a rating 90.20% followed by Lorrile Mae Gesultura Aguilar from Cebu Technological University – Main having 89.60%. None among the schools were qualified in the top performing category.
On August 2017, 256 out of 393 examinees passed. Rachelle Abadilla Bersamin from Ateneo De Davao University ranked first in the exams having 90.15% followed by Kent Jan Aguirre Beldia from University of the Philippines – Visayas Iloilo City garnering 89.30%.
