MLE RESULTS APRIL 2023: Midwifery Board Exam List of Passers and Topnotchers

MLE Results 2023 are out! The Professional Regulation Commission announces that 1,210 out of 2,558 (47.30%) successfully passed the April 2023 Midwife Licensure Exam. The results were released on April 19, 2023, three (3) working days after the conduct of the licensure exams.

In previous releases of other 2023 board exam results, PRC posts from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM, while the recent MLE results were posted at 6PM. Based on PRC Resolution No. 1589 series of 2022 entitled “Schedule of the Licensure Exam for the Year 2023“, the Midwife board exam results will be available within three (3) working days.

The April 2023 Midwife board exam was conducted on April 13-14, 2023 at testing centers in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The Board of Midwifery is headed by Melchor C. Dela Cruz Jr., Chairman, and Lerma M. Valenzuela, Corazon F. Landicho, Lourdes S. Mangahas, and Liwayway M. Piedad, members.

Registration Schedule and Requirements for New RM’s

The schedule of online appointments for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new Midwives will be held on the following dates:

• May 15 to May 19, 2023

Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:

• Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
• Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos on a white background with a complete name tag
• Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
• One (1) piece short brown envelope

PRC added that successful examinees should personally register and sign in to the Roster of Registered Professionals.

How to verify my board exam rating?

The verification of ratings and test results for the Pharmacy licensure exams will be available online a few days after posting the results.

Successful takers can refer to PRC official website and use the Verification Page to know their board examination passing rate.

As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name, last name, and the birthdate.

When and where are the Oath-Taking ceremonies?

All successful examinees interested in attending the face-to-face mass oath-taking shall register no later than 12:00 NN of the day before the date of the oath-taking at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance. Once announced, the exact date, whether the oath-taking will be conducted face-to-face or virtual, will be provided here.

Further, inductees shall bring ANY of the following on the day of the oath-taking:

• Vaccination Card
• Negative RT-PCR results took within 48 hours before the oath-taking

Inductees are advised to register and confirm their attendance in the regions where they took their licensure examination and intend to register as professionals.

Meanwhile, those unable to attend the scheduled face-to-face mass oath-taking may follow the online oath-taking or request a special oath-taking.

Previous Exams

The midwife board exam is one of the programs with an average number of examinees conducted by the PRC.

In the most recent MLE held on November 2022, 1,768 out of 3,472 (50.92%) examinees passed. Jonathan Calunsag Gatela Jr from the University of the Philippines School of Health and Sciences Leyte ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 90.10%, followed by Marielle Luceño Oberio from Iloilo Doctor’s College, 90.05%.

On April 2022 MLE, 733 out of 1,559 (47.02%) successfully passed. Ma Isabella Navales Donsol from Davao Medical School Foundation ranked first in the exams garnering 89.95%, followed by Hyacinth Pacano Bueno from Isabela State University – Ilagan having 89.55%.

In November 2021 board exams, 908 out of 1,774 (51.18%) examinees passed. Yesa Papa Garganera from Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital School of Midwifery ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 89.80%, followed by Veronica Badilla Dumaran from Bohol Island State University – Calape having 89.45%.
