#WalangPasok: Class Suspension on July 26, 2017 (Wednesday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on July 26, 2017 (Wednesday) are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to effects of bad weather conditions brought by Tropical Depression “Gorio”.

As of 10:50 AM, below is the list of areas with class suspensions on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.


Metro Manila

  • Manila – Elementary to Senior High School (Public and Private)
  • Quezon City – PM classes, Preschool to Senior High School (Public and Private)
  • Malabon City – All levels (Public and Private)
  • Caloocan City – All levels (Public and Private)
  • Navotas City – Preschool to Senior High School (Public and Private)
  • Valenzuela City – Preschool to Senior High School (Public and Private)

Schools/Colleges/Universities

  • University of the Philippines (UP) Manila
  • University of the East (UE) Caloocan- All levels
  • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela
  • Valenzuela City Polytechnic College
  • Our Lady of Fatima University Valenzuela – Preschool to Senior High School

Provinces

  • Province of Cavite – All levels (Public and Private)
  • San Mateo, Rizal – Preschool to High School (Public and Private)
  • Bataan – All levels (Public and Private)
  • Olongapo City – All levels (Public and Private)
  • Subic – All levels (Public and Private)
  • Bani, Pangasinan – Preschool to Senior High School (Public and Private)
  • San Fernando City, Pampanga – Preschool to Senior High School (Public and Private)

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 3:00 AM, 26 July 2017,

At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “Gorio” was estimated based on all available data at 440 km Northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (14.5°N 128.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 60 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is forecast to move North Northwest at 15 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon and Visayas.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, Visayas, the regions of Ilocos, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol, Caraga, and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan and Aurora. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over the northern and western section of Luzon and from the southwest to west over the rest of the country. The coastal waters across the entire archipelago will be moderate to occasionally rough.
